(Mrs) Jacob McClain died at her home at 5:45 p.m. Friday June 1, in Greene Twp, Parke County. Mrs. McClain the daughter of John D. and Mary Alexander McClain was born May 18, 1860 in Greene Twp where she spent her entire life. She was married to Jacob McClaine in 1879. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in 1946. Mr. McClain died in 1947. She is survived by a son, Raymond of Judson; four daughters, Mrs. Leota Smiley of near Judson; Mrs. Cloe Pyle of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Sylvia Smiley of Judson; Miss Cozette McClain of Judson and 12 grandchildren; 27 greats and one great great grandchild. The funeral services were held at the family home Monday afternoon at 2 with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. - kbz
